The Velocifero MINIMAD PLUS electric scooter was designed by Alessandro Tartarini, a prominent designer with extensive experience in the motorcycle industry through the Italian company Italjet. The scooter stands out due to its modern design, ergonomic features, and high quality.
The scooter is powered by a 350W Mad Air motor and has a maximum speed of 25 km/h. It can be used on various road surfaces. The scooter is equipped with a removable lithium-ion battery that provides a range of 25-30 km when driving at higher speeds and 30-35 km when driving more efficiently. It features 10-inch inflatable tires and 4 driving modes.
The scooter's handlebar includes an intelligent LCD digital display showing speed, distance, and battery status. Additionally, it has a thumb-operated power control and a single brake lever. The scooter is equipped with dual brakes - disc brakes at the front and electric brakes at the back. It also has LED lights at the front and rear, with the rear LED light being equipped with a brake sensor.
This compact scooter has a light construction, making it easy to carry up stairs or store in a car trunk. It is moisture resistant and IPX4 qualified, allowing it to withstand light rain, although it should ideally be stored under a canopy.
According to the new CSN regulation, electric scooters are permitted on sidewalks, bicycle paths, certain public transport lanes (if allowed for cyclists), and roadways in specific areas. When using the scooter on a sidewalk, pedestrians have priority, and the scooter should not exceed pedestrian speeds. On a roadway, the scooter can only be used where the speed limit is 50 km/h or less, must be driven in a single line close to the right side of the road, and speed should be reduced near pedestrian crossings and public transport stops.
The following activities are prohibited when using an electric scooter:
- Driving without holding the handlebar
- Carrying a passenger
- Holding onto another vehicle while driving
- Exceeding 25 km/h (and keeping speeds significantly lower than pedestrian movement on sidewalks)
- Carrying cargo that endangers others
- Allowing persons younger than 14 years to drive.
